Mobile Broker Advantage™ Q & A

Why does my brokerage need a mobile website?

Mobile search is the fastest growing genre of search. When iPhone introduced a new audience to the mobile Web, the amount of Google traffic from the phone was so significant that Google made their engineers recheck their logs. That was two years ago. Mobile search has grown significantly since, and will continue to grow.

People often drive past listings for sale that they may have interest in, but forget to research the home upon returning to their computer. With a mobile real estate website, you can drive consumers to search listings, agents and open houses by phone, thus improving the chances they contact you.

How does a mobile website benefit my brokerage?

Close to 90 percent of all consumers begin their property searches online.

But while real estate websites have become the future of real estate, mobile search looks to become the future of real estate websites. The most obvious reason for this is the ease of use. Mobile sites can be accessed anywhere from a cell phone, allowing a consumer to search homes by driving through a neighborhood and viewing listings on his or her phone.

In addition, Mobile Broker Advantage™ is simple.
"Search properties."
"Search agents."
"Search Open Houses."
"Contact us."

That's all you need to give a consumer the power to find listings, look up listing details, find an agent to work with, request a showing, ask a question, or see local open houses, all from their cell phone.

While most consumers choose to search detailed mortgage information and home buying tips from their home computers, they can more conveniently search properties from anywhere through their cell phone.

Why a website instead of an app?

While cell phone apps are the latest trend, they have their flaws. First, each app is limited to one specific phone. An iPhone app won't work on a Blackberry, and vice versa.

Second, apps have to be downloaded. This could be the difference in a consumer looking up a listing they just drove past and forgetting about it altogether. If they have not already downloaded the app, they may have turned on another road and forgotten about the listing by the time the app downloads. With a mobile website, the consumer can search instantly.

Third, while apps are great for name branding, they can also brand a restrictive view of services in a user's mind. Shazam's iPhone app was downloaded on 1.5 million iPhones within its first six weeks of introduction. But how many people are familiar with their website?

What's my return on investment?

Mobile Broker Advantage™ is so powerful because mobile sites are capable of producing a much higher lead conversion.

Many consumers who utilize mobile sites do so while searching properties they drove past or are stopping to look at.

If they find an open house in the neighborhood they are driving through, they are more likely to stop by and meet the real estate agent. If they can contact an agent who can meet them at a specific listing they saw online while in the community, they are more likely to go through the home now instead of putting it off. If they can submit a showing request or contact an agent to ask about a listing they stopped by, that listing is more likely to leave an impression in their minds. If they can pull up to a listing at any hour of the day and jump online from their phone to check its specs, they will better relate and may be more inclined to submit a request to the listing.
